MY RATING: 0.00

Well, I'm what you call a Dedicated, Diehard Chevy Man! I even have a Chevy tattoo covering my whole left forearm. It reads:
"The Heartbeat of America, Yesterday's Chevrolet"

I've owned 9 Camaros, 4 Chevelles, 3 Corvettes, 2 Novas, and now the '56 Pickup. I've also owned a lot of other cars over the last 28 years, but they were more or less my daily drivers. For example I've had 3 lowered SWB's, 2 lifted SWB's, 3 Fiero GT's, 5 RX7's, and a couple MR2's.

I've won a few trophies over the years at some local car shows. I also did quite a bit of bracket racing when I was younger. When I was in my 20's and early 30's I lived about 3 miles away from SIR. (Seattle International Raceway)

I plan on lowering the truck another 3 inches, but I'm gonna have to c-notch the rear frame some more in order to do it. I'm going to replace the fuel injection system with a 6-71 Blower and have a "Shotgun Bill" scoop sticking out of the hood. I also plan on going narrower with the front rims (15x4) and adding a set of wheelie bars to get that completed "Pro/Street" look!

Well, I've been a drummer for the last 34 years. (We even made a couple CD's in the studio) I still like to go to as many Rock Concerts as I can get too. I also like camping, fishing, lots of shopping for car/truck parts, watching movies, going for walks with my dog, and hanging out with like-minded friends.

Pro/Street Chevys & 41 Willys

FORD'S......although I will own a '32 or '34 3-Window Coupe someday.....and yes, it will definitely be Chevy powered!!!

Mainly Rock & Roll...(but also some blues)
Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Ozzy, Godsmack, Disturbed, KORN, Pantera, Alterbridge, Avenged Sevenfold, AC/DC, Van Halen, Sevendust, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, SRV, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Judas Priest, Drowning Pool, Rammstein, etc....

American Graffiti
Two Lane Blacktop
Return to Macon County Line
The Califorina Kid
Bullit (Even though he drove a Mustang)
Gone in 60 Seconds
The Vanishing
Transformers (Because of the new Camaro)

Sweet lookin' truck!

Oh hell yeah, definitely!!!  I'll be installing a new Comp Cams "Thumpr" Series camshaft in it this Winter, as well as putting a new 3500 stall converter in it. Between the two it should get me well into the 11's.  If not I'll just throw a 150hp nitrous system on it and run 10's.

Are you planning on taking that truck down the track?

Thanks for sharing those photos of your new project.

Your 56 Pro/Street Truck sure seems promising.

I featured some of the photos in the gallery since they sure deserve it.

Thanks for writing back.

Hey man, congrats on your Corvette!

How many HP those your ride have?

Admin.

It has somewhere in the vasinity of 450HP. I went with a 487HP custom grind cam, but my iron heads are choking it off a bit. Once I throw the AFR 195's on it I should be pushing about 500+ HP.

The Vette's getting put on the back burner for now though,....I just picked up a 1956 Chev Pro/Street Truck. It has a complete Tube Chassis frame, narrowed Dana 60 w/35 spline Strange axles, 700R4 Tranny, a Fuel Injected 468ci Big Block, a Mustang II Front Clip w/Coilovers and Rack & Pinion, Dakota Digital dash, an *Ididit* 32" steering column, and the biggest street legal rear tires they sell. (33" tall x 22" wide)

It was a $60K "Show-Truck" when it was built 10 years ago,.... unfortunately the builder died 3 years ago and his brother didn't take care of it. (drove it 24/7/365 in the rain etc..) I just picked it up for $13K, so now I get to bring it back to life!

I'll go ahead and post a few pics of it..........

Thanks. I love the body style on those vette's. we can't run 87 octane we have to use 112 octane($9 a gallon at 1/4 mile per gallon) since we have 13.8:1 compression. We started out building it as a street truck but after it was put together we realized it was not practical(somthing about almost running into our neighbors house).

06/05/2008 08:22:17
